Accessibility of universities for people with disabilities

Accessibility to higher education among different social groups was the topic of the first meeting organized as part of the “Accessible Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School” project. The meeting was attended by Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, Rector of SGMK, Wojciech Kondrat, Chancellor of SGMK, and representatives of non-governmental organizations working in the field of disability and support for people with special needs. The meeting was chaired by Paweł Wdowik, an expert in the area of accessibility, former Government Plenipotentiary for Persons with Disabilities.   

It discussed the needs of people with disabilities in the education system, including: creating the necessary procedures and providing the necessary supporting technologies, removing architectural barriers, as well as information accessibility.   

Accessible Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School Project

Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, together with the “L” Foundation, is implementing the “Accessible Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School” project.
