AI Assistant for Doctors

A Polish science and technology consortium wants to develop an AI assistant for doctors. Since 2023, Świętokrzyska University of Technology and Altar Software have been working on an Intelligent Medical Assistant – Parrot AI.

One of the key features of Parrot AI is automatic transcription of medical interviews. Parrot AI system can assist doctors by suggesting diagnoses, medications, tests and sick leave recommendations, with a 87.5 % accuracy.

The researchers emphasize that Parrot AI is being designed as a comprehensive tool to support, not replace, the work of physicians.

The next stages of the project’s development include the implementation of a final user interface tailored to the doctors’ needs. At the same time, work will be carried out on optimizing algorithms, improving the accuracy of speech analysis and diagnostic support. Completion of the development phase and commercialization are planned for 2026.

The project is implemented under the INFOSTRATEG Strategic Program, co-financed by the National Center for Research and Development. The total budget is more than PLN 11 million, with about PLN 8 million from funding support.
