On 27 May 2026, the “Science–Business–Local Government” conference was held at Lomza Academy. The event was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between academia, business, and public administration in support of regional development and the economic resilience of Eastern Poland.
Among the participants was Dr Dariusz Budrowski from the College of Economics and Management of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, who moderated the expert panel entitled “Alliance for the Region – What Does It Mean for the Łomża Region?”

During the discussion, participants examined the importance of cooperation between science, business, and local government for regional development, the challenges of building economic resilience along Poland’s eastern border, and opportunities to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. The panel also addressed available sources of financing for businesses and the role of higher education institutions in shaping a modern knowledge-based economy.

- Jacek Piorunek – Member of the Board of the Podlaskie Voivodeship,
- Dariusz Surowik – Rector of Lomza Academy,
- Sebastian Rynkiewicz – President of the Management Board of the Evoluma Industrial Cluster,
- Paweł Jamróz – President of the Podlaskie Regional Development Foundation,
- Anna Moskwa – Vice-President of the Polish Construction Cluster.
The conference provided a valuable platform for exchanging experiences and discussing the future of the Łomża region in the context of cooperation among public institutions, academia, and the business community. For business representatives, the event also offered an opportunity to learn about planned support measures and investment priorities for the coming years, as well as possibilities for building partnerships that foster business growth.
