The European Parliament has unanimously adopted the solutions of the Consumer Agenda 2030, a document setting out the direction of EU consumer protection policy for the coming decade. The report was led by rapporteur Adam Ciszkowski, with dr Dariusz Budrowski of the College of Economic Sciences and Management at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School contributing as an expert.
Unanimous support from MEPs
The unanimous vote reflects broad, cross-party consensus on the need to strengthen consumer protection across the European single market. The Consumer Agenda 2030 is set to serve as a reference point for future EU regulation in this area.
SGMK expert’s involvement
Dr Dariusz Budrowski, representing the College of Economic Sciences and Management at SGMK, took part in the work on the document as an expert. The involvement of a university representative in legislative work at the European level confirms the growing role of SGMK as a substantive partner in shaping EU public policy.

Significance for EU consumer policy
The adopted solutions form part of a broader effort to strengthen the position of consumers amid the digital and ecological transformation of the market. The involvement of the academic community, including SGMK experts, in the consultation process underscores the importance of cooperation between science and EU institutions in the legislative process.
