On February 20, 2026, an official meeting between the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, and representatives of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland was held at the school, inaugurating a dialogue on future academic cooperation.
The Taiwanese side was represented by:
- Jeff Liu – Head of the Taipei Representative Office in Poland,
- Kaiti Lin – Second Secretary, Taipei Representative Office in Poland.
The meeting was of a working nature and marked the beginning of talks on joint initiatives in the area of academic support and the development of international cooperation.
During the talks, preliminary directions for building a partnership were presented, including a scholarship program for doctoral students from Ukraine studying at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, the possibility of providing support to people preparing doctoral dissertations on an external basis, as well as the development of teaching cooperation, including the involvement of lecturers from Ukraine. The organization of a meeting combined with a Taiwanese scholarship award ceremony was also discussed.
The parties emphasized the importance of international academic solidarity, intercultural dialogue, and building long-term partnerships based on mutual trust and shared values.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of openness and constructive exchange of views, marking the first stage of cooperation between the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School and its partners from Taiwan.
