On September 24, 2024, the Józef Piłsudski Academy of Physical Education in Warsaw officialy inaugurated the Jubilee Academic Year 2024/2025. The event was held in a ceremonial atmosphere, with the presence of numerous representatives of the scientific community, sports, as well as state and local authorities. 

The ceremony was also attended by Wojciech Kondrat, Chancellor of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, representing the SGMK academic community. 

The inauguration included speeches by rectors, representatives of the authorities and special guests. An important highlight of the ceremony was the reading of a congratulatory letter from the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda by Mr. Marek Rymsza – Advisor to the President of the Republic of Poland. Speeches were given by Undersecretary of Science and Higher Education Mr. Maciej Gdula, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism Mr. Ireneusz Raś and Prorector for Science Prof. Paweł Tomaszewski. 

Distinctions were also presented to AWF employees for their merits and many years of service at the university, as well as medals for the best graduates.
