On September 9, 2025, the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw hosted an information and consultation conference devoted to preparations for participation in the “Cybersecure Water Utilities” competition – Investment C3.1.1 under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO).
The event was organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in cooperation with the Union of Polish Local Governments and was addressed to commune heads (wójtowie), mayors, district governors, city presidents, councilors, and local government employees.
During the meeting, participants discussed among other topics:
- new tasks and obligations of local governments resulting from the amendment to the Act on the National Cybersecurity System,
- goals and funding rules under the “Cybersecure Water Utilities” program,
- the role of municipalities as owners of critical infrastructure,
- the support that the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School and its partners can offer local governments in preparing, implementing, and settling projects,
- the offer of a free series of legal training sessions for local government units as well as details of the MBA in Local Government and Administration postgraduate program at SGMK.
The Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, working with academic partners and cybersecurity specialists, has prepared comprehensive support for local government units. This includes assistance in preparing funding applications, formal and expert consulting, support with project implementation and settlement, as well as organizing training sessions and providing informational materials.
