The Faculty of Canon Law at the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome hosted an international academic conference entitled Axiology of the Legal System: Theory and Practice, devoted to the axiological foundations of legal systems and their practical implications.

The event was attended by scholars from leading academic centers, who presented the latest research findings in the fields of legal theory, canon law, and international law. Among the speakers was Rev. Dr. Paweł Lewandowski from the College of Legal Sciences at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School. In his paper, The Principle of Subsidiarity in Canon Law, he explored the important role that the principle of subsidiarity plays in canon law and its implications for legal practice and management in the Church.

The conference created a platform for discussion and cooperation, emphasizing the importance of ethical considerations within legal systems. Participants were encouraged to confront diverse perspectives, which enriched their understanding of the relationship between law and values.

The event concluded with a call for further research and dialogue in this area, with the aim of enriching the legal landscape with a deeper understanding of its axiological foundations.
