Man vs. Machines | SpaceX and Boston Dynamics ambassador Agnieszka Pilat will be a speaker at AI&EDU SGMK congress

Polish-American artist and writer Agnieszka Pilat, whose work redefines the interface between art and technology, will be the speaker of the first day of the AI&EDU SGMK science congress. The SpaceX and Boston Dynamics ambassador will give a lecture entitled “Man and Machine: A Love Story.”

The AI&EDU SGMK science congress will be held on June 13-14 in Warsaw. Just like the Futurist of the Year SGMK, the largest futurological science congress of 2024, it will become an interdisciplinary space for the exchange of knowledge and experience of Polish and foreign experts and researchers. Agnieszka Pilat is a native of Lodz, Poland, and has worked as an artist-in-residence with companies such as SpaceX, Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics and Waymo, exploring cutting-edge technologies and treating robots as co-creators of her works. Pilat views machines as worthy subjects of artistic exploration, gaining insights into humanity itself through her creative process. 

Pilat’s artwork has been showcased globally and featured in the fourth Matrix film, ‘Matrix Resurrections’. Pilat’s exhibitions include venues like The National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne, the Museum of Fine Arts Boston, the de Young Museum San Francisco, and the National Air and Space Museum in Washington D.C. As an art history expert, she has collaborated with Hirshhorn Museum and Stanford University’s Institute for Human-Centered AI, and her writings have been featured on Artnet.
