Monarchy – Law, Government System, and Political-Legal Thought – International Academic Conference in Słupsk

From September 17 to 20, 2025, the Institute of Law and Administration at the Pomeranian University in Słupsk hosted an international academic conference, “Monarchy – Law, Government System, and Political-Legal Thought,” which was attended by Krzysztof Woźniak, a doctoral student at the SGMK Doctoral School in the College of Philosophy and Theology.

The conference brought together numerous scholars of political and legal thought, political philosophers, philosophers of law, as well as legal historians and historians of Roman law. Representatives of academic institutions from across Poland participated, alongside colleagues from the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia.

During the conference, the SGMK doctoral student delivered a presentation titled “A President in Name, a Monarch in Power? The Constitutional Position of the Head of State in Władysław Leopold Jaworski’s ‘Draft Constitution.’” Krzysztof Woźniak used this lecture to share findings from the research for his doctoral dissertation, which he is currently preparing at the SGMK Doctoral School.
