New Issue of the Copernican Journal of Law – No. 4 (1/2026)

The fourth issue of the Copernican Journal of Law – No. 4 (1/2026) – has been published by the College of Legal Sciences at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School. The issue contains seven scholarly articles spanning intellectual property law, administrative law, comparative law and constitutional law.

Authors and topics

The issue includes contributions from Enrico Fronticelli Baldelli on the distribution system in the automotive sector, Tamta Kenia on the negative impact of intellectual property protection on vaccine accessibility, Solomiia Kira on electronic property registers as a tool for reducing transaction costs in Poland and Ukraine, Dagmar Lantajová on discrimination concerning nationality in the case law of judicial bodies, Monika Menke on the contractual model for church participation in the public sphere in the Czech Republic, Paolo Sommaggio on paradigms and perspectives of legal practice in the European context, and Mahmoud Tofan on religion and nationalism in the legal and constitutional models of Syria and Greater Lebanon during the French Mandate of 1920–1930.

Six of the seven authors represent foreign research centres: the Higher School of Economics and Finance “Ezio Vanoni” (Italy), the University of Padova (Italy), Trnava University (Slovakia), Palacký University Olomouc (Czech Republic), Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani University (Georgia) and Tartous University (Syria). One article comes from the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School.

Expanded Editorial Board and indexing

The Editorial Board has been joined by Robert Gyuri (Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice, Slovakia), Ryszard Pankiewicz (Academy of Zamość, Poland), Dimitrios Parashu (Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University Hannover, Germany), Olha Skochylias-Pavliv (Lviv Polytechnic National University, Ukraine), Marcin Szewczak (John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland), Mario Trapani (Roma Tre University, Italy) and Niteesh Kumar Upadhyay (Dhirubhai Ambani University School of Law, India).

The journal has been accepted for indexing in the ICI World of Journals/ICI Journals Master List and the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL).

The journal’s Editor-in-Chief is Dr Paweł Lewandowski, Vice-Dean of the College of Legal Sciences at SGMK; Prof. Fabrizio Giulimondi, Dean of the College of Legal Sciences, serves as Vice Editor-in-Chief.

The Copernican Journal of Law is a biannual publication of the College of Legal Sciences at SGMK, publishing scholarly articles in English on topics including constitutional law, human rights, European Union law, canon law, AI law and law and bioethics.
