Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School is proud to present a new publication – Dictionary of Religious Freedom. Volume 1: Religious Freedom. Key Concepts, edited by Maria Alejandra Vanney (SGMK), Weronika Kudła (Pontifical University of John Paul II in Kraków), and Piotr Roszak (Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń).
The publication is an interdisciplinary study of one of the most important human rights – freedom of conscience and religion. The authors explore the special status of this right, its historical background, its varied interpretations across religious traditions, and contemporary challenges related to its restrictions.
In this volume, readers will find analyses prepared by lawyers, theologians, philosophers, sociologists, and cultural scholars, as well as bibliographies and a glossary designed to support accessibility of the content. As such, the Dictionary of Religious Freedom serves not only as a compendium of knowledge but also as an inspiration for further research and debate.
The publication was developed as part of the project “Laboratory of Religious Freedom”, carried out by the Pro Futuro Theologiae Foundation in cooperation with academic centers in Poland and abroad.
The online edition is available on the SGMK Publishing House website under „Nowości wydawnicze” (Latest Publications): www.sgmk.edu.pl/wydawnictwo
