The Polish Accreditation Committee (PKA) has achieved another international success – it has met the criteria of the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) accreditation recognition program and, pursuant to the decision of September 12, 2025, has been granted full recognition status until September 30, 2035.
The certificate confirms the highest quality standards in the evaluation of medical programs and strengthens the PKA’s international position as a reliable institution in the education quality assurance system. WFME recognition status means that medical education at PKA-accredited universities meets rigorous global standards.

This achievement is the result of many months of work by the PKA team, including a meeting between representatives of the Commission and the WFME visiting team in Poland. As the agency’s representatives emphasize, this is proof that the effort to improve the quality of education in higher education has been recognized internationally.
The World Federation for Medical Education is a global non-profit organization whose goal is to improve the quality of medical education. The WFME develops standards for medical schools, educational programs, and accreditation agencies, supporting their implementation and recognition system. Recognition by the WFME paves the way for international recognition of medical degrees and increases the professional mobility of graduates.
