In February 2025, TikTok released “The Discover List 2025”, a global showcase of 50 most influential and engaging creators on the platform. Among the nominees was Adam Mirek, a science popularizer from Poland, who was recognized in the Educators category. This is the first time a Pole has been included in this prestigious list.

Who is Adam Mirek? 

Adam Mirek holds a PhD in biomedical engineering. He is a graduate of Warsaw University of Technology. Mirek has accumulated more than 1.3 million followers on TikTok, and his videos have garnered about 43 million likes. He is also the author of popular science books for children, such as „Bebechy, czyli ciało człowieka pod lupą” and „Glutologia. Jak nie dać się mikropaskudom, wstrętnym robalom i podstępnym chorobom”. Mirek uses TikTok to share his passion for science. His creative approach and commitment attract a wide audience, inspiring both younger and older viewers to explore science. Thanks to his presence on the platform, Mirek has had the opportunity to perform live in front of audiences and host some of the biggest TV shows in Poland. 

“The Discover List” 

“The Discover List” is an annual list compiled by TikTok to recognize creators who make a significant impact on the platform community. The list is divided into five categories: Educators, Foodies, Icons, Innovators, and Originators. Each of them includes creators who set trends and inspire users around the world. 

After the list was announced, Adam Mirek shared his joy with his followers on Instagram, thanking the community for their support and emphasizing that it is thanks to them that he can pursue his passion. He has expressed pride in being the first Pole on “The Discover List” and encouraged his followers to continue discovering the world of science together.
