From September 2 to 4, 2025, Karpacz will once again become the heart of discussions about the future of the economy and society in Central and Eastern Europe. One of the most compelling parts of the program will be the Polish Science Pavilion – an initiative of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education that highlights the national contribution of science to transformation and innovation.

Polish Science Pavilion

The pavilion is designed as a space for dialogue among scientists, business leaders, and public administration. Visitors will explore digital medicine, innovations in the dairy sector, and educational programs promoting entrepreneurship—all in one place. Symbolically, it will be opened by Prof. Maria Mrówczyńska, Deputy Minister of Science, underscoring science’s role not only as knowledge but as an active socio-economic partner.

This project has been realized thanks to the collaboration of many institutions: the SUP-RIM Research Network (including SGGW), the Lublin Digital Union, the Institute of Physiology and Hearing Pathology, the University of Zielona Góra, the National Science Center (NCN), the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), the Łukasiewicz Research Network, and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). Each institution brings a unique contribution—ranging from prosthetic technologies to AI capabilities and international support.

Panel “Inventions and Scientific Implementations of the 21st Century”

In cooperation with the Institute of Physiology and Hearing Pathology, a panel will be held on September 3 to present specific solutions: the HearBox Mobile app for hearing monitoring, a bionic prosthesis, a school environment monitoring system, and eco-friendly materials. These exemplify science that is practically and globally changing lives.

The National Science Center has scheduled two panels: “Science in Action” (September 2, 3:30–4:30 p.m.), showcasing the path from research to entrepreneurship, and “Science as an Investment” (September 4, 11:10 a.m.–12:10 p.m.) focusing on the role of research in economic development. NAWA will present the panel “Science Without Borders” (September 3, 4:05–5:05 p.m.) and will participate in the discussion on the internationalization of science (September 4, 1:30–2:45 p.m.).

Scale and Significance of the Economic Forum

The XXXIV Economic Forum is a large-scale event: over 6,000 participants, more than 500 debates and sessions, with guests including leaders from politics, business, science, and culture. The theme “Time of Transformation – What Future for Europe?” sets the tone for all discussions—science finds its place as a key partner in transformation.
