Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, Rector of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, took part in the international conference “Federalizzazione della Unione Europea: più Luci o Ombre?” – “Federalization of the European Union: opportunity or threat?”, organized at the Senato della Repubblica.
In her lecture, Prof. Uścińska addressed key issues concerning the federalization of the European Union, paying particular attention to the challenges and benefits of deepening European integration.
During her speech, the Rector focused on topics related to the free movement of persons and the coordination of social security systems in the EU, emphasizing their role in building solidarity among member states. Prof. Uścińska stressed that while the federalization process brings many benefits, such as strengthening international cooperation and increasing economic stability, it also involves numerous legal and political challenges.
The conference brought together prominent experts from various fields, enabling an exchange of views and analysis of the future of the European Union in the context of federalization. Prof. Uścińska’s lecture was met with great interest by the participants and was a valuable contribution to the debate on the future of European integration.
The event is co-organized by the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School and the University of Rome “Foro Italico” as part of the cooperation agreement signed at the AI&EDU SGMK Scientific Congress in June.
