Representatives of the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School are taking part in the 2025 DSpace Poland Conference. The two-day conference, held on May 18-20, 2025, is attended by SGMK Chancellor Wojciech Kondrat and the Director of the SGMK Doctoral School.
This important event on the digitization of science, open access and innovations in research data management will result in the signing of a cooperation agreement within the DSpace Polish User Group.
Joint activities with the country’s leading scientific institutions open up new opportunities for the development of repositories and the integration of SGMK into the international DSpace community.
Conference participants will explore practical case studies presented by representatives of institutions that have successfully implemented and used the latest version of DSpace software. They will learn about international trends related to the construction of modern repositories and CRIS-class systems, with particular emphasis on the use and aggregation of data from global databases.
The benefits of official membership of Polish universities in the international DSpace consortium will also be presented, i.e. the possibility of co-determining the directions of development of the DSpace system, taking development initiatives and offering solutions to emerging challenges.
The DSpace Polish User Group meeting was organized by PCG Academia in cooperation with the international consortium LYRASIS and Aleph Poland. The event aims to integrate the community of representatives of universities and scientific institutes from all over the country using the DSpace scientific repository and to enable the exchange of experiences on the ongoing global migration to the latest version of this software.
