From September 2 to 4, 2025, Karpacz will once again become the center of the debate on the future of Europe. The XXXIV Economic Forum, the largest and most significant economic and political event in Central and Eastern Europe, will be held there under the theme “Time of Transformation – What Future for Europe?”
The Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School (SGMK) will participate in this year’s edition as an institutional partner, actively engaging in discussions on key social, economic, and political challenges.
Prof. Gertruda Uścińska – Voice of the SGMK Rector in the Debates
The Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, will participate in this year’s Forum as:
- Moderator of the panel “Modern HR in the EU: Mobility, Law, and Artificial Intelligence” (September 2, 3:30 p.m., 6.12 Economy)
- Participant in the debate “Time of Transformation – What Future for Europe?” (September 2, 6:05 p.m., 6.21 Sustainable Development)
- Expert in the suicidology panel “Between Tragedy and Statistics – An Interdisciplinary Analysis of What We (Don’t) Know about Youth Suicides” (September 2, 7:15–8:15 p.m., 4.5 Society)
Suicidology Panel under the Patronage of SGMK
One of the most important events involving our University will be the panel titled “Between Tragedy and Statistics – An Interdisciplinary Analysis of What We (Don’t) Know about Youth Suicides,” which will be held on the first day of the Forum, September 2, from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m., as part of track 4.5 – Society.
The discussion will provide an opportunity to present research results from the SGMK team conducting the project “Suicidology – State of Knowledge Analysis and an Educational Campaign.” Experts will address the gaps in social awareness regarding suicidal behaviors among children and youth and the need to implement systematic educational initiatives and public policies that support mental health for young people.
