Prof. Gertruda Uścińska took part in a joint meeting of the Social Affairs Council and the Health Care Council of the National Development Council, with the participation of members of the Local Government Council. 

The meeting, held on April 15, was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland Piotr Ćwik and advisors to the President of the Republic of Poland: Agnieszka Lenartowicz-Łysik, Paulina Malinowska-Kowalczyk, Beata Kempa and Andżelika Możdżanowska. It was conducted by the councils’ chairmen: Dr. Marek Rymsza and Prof. Piotr Czauderna. 

The topic of the meeting was the Act of April 4, 2025, amending the Act on health care services financed from public funds and certain other acts, that is currently making its way through Parliament. The amendments proposed therein include the method of determining and calculating the compulsory health insurance contribution for self-employed persons conducting non-agricultural business, as well as the possibility of deducting that contribution from the tax base.
