On September 8, 2025, at the Uniformed Campus of the Justice Academy (AWS) in Kalisz, a ceremony was held for the oath-taking of newly admitted and appointed officers of the Prison Service — students of the undergraduate full-time studies in Penitentiary Science.
The Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw was represented at the event. On behalf of the SGMK Rector, Prof. Gertruda Uścińska, the Chancellor Wojciech Kondrat participated in the ceremony and read a letter from the Rector addressed to the community of the Justice Academy and the future officers.
In her message, SGMK Rector emphasized the importance of choosing the candidate’s path of service and expressed gratitude to the AWS authorities for their cooperation:
“Your decision is an expression of maturity and responsibility, while at the same time carrying a noble and demanding mission to serve others. Congratulations to all who have the courage to embark on this path — it enables building security and helps in the process of resocialization, giving a real impact on a better future for our society.”
The presence of a representative from the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School in Warsaw during this ceremony reflects close cooperation between our institutions and joint commitment to the development of penitentiary personnel in Poland.
The SGMK community wishes all newly admitted officers success on their path of service and learning, courage in facing daily challenges, and satisfaction in the mission they have chosen to fulfill.
