The Copernican Journal of Law, a scholarly journal published by the College of Legal Sciences at the Nicolaus Copernicus Superior School, has been accepted for indexing in the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). This is one of the world’s most important databases of peer-reviewed scholarly journals operating under the Open Access model.

Significance of the Indexation

DOAJ is a global registry of Open Access journals, admission to which requires meeting rigorous scientific and ethical criteria. Inclusion in the database means greater visibility in search results for the journal, easier access for researchers and legal practitioners around the world, and increased citation potential for published articles.

Articles in the Copernican Journal of Law remain freely accessible without subscription barriers, allowing them to be used directly in scholarly research, legal practice and teaching.

A Step Toward Open Science

DOAJ indexation marks a further stage in the journal’s development, following its earlier acceptance into the ICI World of Journals and the Central and Eastern European Online Library (CEEOL). It supports the implementation of Open Science principles and SGMK’s efforts to internationalize its scholarly output.

The journal’s Editor-in-Chief is Dr Paweł Lewandowski, Vice-Dean of the College of Legal Sciences at SGMK, with Prof. Fabrizio Giulimondi, Dean of the College of Legal Sciences, serving as Vice Editor-in-Chief.
