This past weekend, as part of the SGMK Doctoral program, two thought-provoking lectures were delivered by world-renowned professors – Princeton University’s Harold James and University of Houston’s Peter C. Bishop.
Professor Harold James and Professor Peter Bishop shared their knowledge and experience with doctoral students, bringing new insights into their scientific disciplines and research. The lectures were met with great interest from PhD students.
Participants had the opportunity to be inspired and exchange views with renowned experts, thus enhancing their own scientific development.
Harold James is a Professor of History and International Relations at Princeton University. He specializes in German economic history and globalization processes. He is the author of several books, including “The Creation and Destruction of Value: The Globalization Cycle”, “Making the European Monetary Union” and “The Euro and the Battle of Ideas”.
Peter C. Bishop is a professional futurologist, Associate Professor Emeritus of Strategic Foresight and former Director of the Futures Studies graduate program at the University of Houston.
He is also the founder and executive director of Teach the Future, an organization whose mission is to encourage and support educators who want to incorporate forward-thinking into their classrooms and schools. He has written two books: Thinking about the Future: Guidelines for Strategic Foresight and Teaching about the Future, both with Andy Hines.
